Sodium Formate in Gujarat
Sodium Formate ($HCOONa$) is extensively used in Gujarat’s world-famous textile dyeing and ceramic industries. It acts as an efficient masking agent in chrome tanning and a pH stabilizer in the dyeing of fabrics in Ahmedabad and Surat. In the construction and ceramic sector, it serves as a chloride-free setting accelerator and additive, ensuring structural integrity and process efficiency without the risk of corrosion in the humid coastal environment of the state.

Oil Drilling field / Oilfield chemicals : In exploratory drilling, high-density saturated sodium formate solution can enhance machines’ high-temperature resistance, prevent rust and exhibit microbial degradation functions. The use of sodium formate helps stabilize the rock layer and reduce the impact on the soil environment during oil explorations.
3. As a de-icer on airport runways due to its effectiveness and less contamination than Salt. It melts the ice rapidly without damaging the asphalt
