Ammonium Formate In Arunachal-Pradesh
Ammonium Formate ($HCOONH_{4}$) is the ammonium salt of formic acid, appearing as a white, deliquescent crystalline solid. In the Arunachal Pradesh industrial corridor, it plays a critical role in the synthesis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and as a buffering agent in complex organic reactions. Scientifically, it is preferred for its ability to decompose into gaseous products at high temperatures, leaving no metallic residue, which is essential for high-precision mass spectrometry and chromatography. Furthermore, its application as a pH regulator in textile printing and as a component in cold-weather chemical formulations makes it indispensable for the high-altitude industrial applications across Tawang, Naharlagun, and the Papum Pare district.
Character: It’s white solid, soluble in water and ethanol. The aqueous solution is acidic. Usage: It can be used in pharmaceutical industry or used as analytical reagents.
